Statement by KUTS..:::
We at the University of Karachi are pensively concerned and strongly condemn the direct intervention of CM Secretariat in the autonomy of the universities in Sindh. We stand hands in hands with the Sindh University Teachers Association (SUTA) against the appointment of the Pro Vice Chancellor in the University of Sindh. All the teachers in the universities from Karachi to Larkana are united and ready to resist and fight for the rightful autonomy of the universities. We reject the unilateral amendments made by the Sindh Provincial Assembly in the Universities Act and condemn the breach of MoU between Sindh Government and FAPUASA by the CM Secretariat. 

On Monday April 18th all universities in Sindh from Karachi to Larkana will observe Black Day in protest against interference in the university autonomy and no teaching will be conducted. Sindh University stands still from today and we support SUTA. 

We demand revocation of amendments in universities act and restoration of university autonomy.
